Clinical Research Unit (CRU)
Our CRU, or Phase 1 Unit, serves the growing demand for dedicated and specialized CRUs where we can conduct first-in-human studies and specialized therapeutic studies requiring intensive laboratory and cardiac safety trial procedures.
Our 20-bed CRU offers unique cardiac monitoring technology, the experience of a team of professionals that provide streamlined study management, as well as the established best clinical practices of an organization with 8 years of experience. The CRU setup, a direct result from our clients’ feedback provides our human volunteers and staff with a friendly, modern and conveniently located facility.
We are convinced that our facility will meet the demands and facilitate the operations and efficiency of the drug development continuum of our clients’ study compounds.

Our Unit
Our Phase I Unit structure and size was devised to meet the demand of our clients for dedicated units that can handle a select number of studies simultaneously. This strategy results in exceptional management and unique customization of our Phase I clinical trials by one of our Clinical Operation Teams. Also we are equipped with state-of-the art equipment such as -20 and -70 freezers, refrigerated centrifuge, keyless electronic entrance to the facility and the drug storage rooms, web controlled cameras and 24/7 security.
Our Clinical Operation
Our innovative Clinical Operation Structure provides functional teams for the execution of clinical trials. Under a Project Manager, the Regulatory Affairs, Recruitment Management, Trial Coordination and Quality Assurance Team remain independently operated and tightly interlaced to increase the quality, reliability and efficiency of your study.
Our Staff
A multidisciplinary team of dedicated allied health professionals are the trademark of our organization. In addition to experienced clinical research coordinators, we have certified paramedics that provide 24/7 coverage to our unit. A unique advantage of our unit is the availability of hands-on principle investigators, which provide the highest standard of safety to our volunteers. A registered dietician in collaboration with an experienced caterer is able to provide the necessary and required diets for each clinical trial.
Our Location
Our unique location, in the Baltimore City suburb of Towson, Maryland, provide us with access to a potential pool of 1.5 million habitants. Our carefully selected location, place us within a range of 2.6 to 8.8 miles of nine community hospitals and 1.7 to 11 miles of nine colleges. We are recognized for exceeding the recruitment goals on our studies while setting the enrolling pace throughout each of our studies.
